The Jaffer Building
Formerly called the Confederation Building, the Jaffer Building located on Jasper Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta had not seen any major renovations since it was built in 1967. In 2010, we embarked on a $4 million rehabilitation to modernize its interior, exterior, and building systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical and structural systems, sprinkler, and fire alarm system.
The exterior prior to the transformation displayed an outdated, dark, and dull design that didn’t reflect the thriving dining scene and downtown lifestyle. The Jaffer Group took the opportunity to create a bold architectural statement that helped contribute to the revitalization of 104 Street into a trendy, pedestrian-friendly corridor of shops, cafes, businesses, and award-winning restaurants.
