Building something better.
We work with our clients to oversee budgets, manage timelines, build teams of quality contractors and take responsibility for the overall quality of the end product. Our reputation is on the line with every project, that’s why no detail is left to chance. And it’s why you can be confident in knowing everything is done the right way from the foundation all the way up to the top floor.
We established our company with the goal to not only build better spaces but also develop better relationships. As a collaborative construction management company, we envision and build unique environments in a way where everyone is part of the process.
Most importantly, we care: for our people, our projects and we take great pride in what we do. That’s what strong leadership is all about.
Bilt specializes in:
Lean Construction Principles
Quite possibly the most innovative approach to building in the last 50 years, Bilt uses the Lean method of construction on every project. Bilt’s approach to Lean increases productivity, reduces waste and involves all partners in all stages of the project. But it’s real value is in the cost savings and approach to safety.
Control is redefined. We no longer monitor results but instead make things happen with an improved planning process that assures reliable workflow and predictable project outcomes.
Our goal is to maximize value while minimizing waste. This is a major change from the traditional practice of attempting to optimize each individual activity.
Value to the customer is defined, created and delivered throughout the life of the project. Traditional building defines requirements at the outset for delivery at the end—this proves to be more challenging because of changing markets, technology and business practices.
Action is coordinated through pulling and continuous flow, as opposed to the traditional, schedule-driven push which places an over-reliance on central authority and project schedules in managing resources and coordinating work.
Decision-making is decentralized through transparency and empowerment. This provides project participants with information on the state of the production systems and empowers them to take action.
Lean construction means we work collaboratively, asking questions of you and ourselves to make every aspect of the project more efficient. From space planning to reducing waste in demolition to finding the safest way to complete the work, Lean represents the future of our industry… a future that is here now.
Healthy & Sustainable Built Environments
1/3 of your life is spent working. You deserve a healthy work space.
Studies have shown that 1/3 of our lives are spent at work while 1/3 of our time is spent sleeping. This is a sobering reminder of the importance of workplace wellness. According to the International Wellbeing Institute, the way that buildings are designed, constructed and maintained has a profound impact on our health, well-being and productivity. We believe wellness is a byproduct of smart design thinking that puts people first. That’s why we adhere to The WELL Building StandardTM. It uses innovative, research-backed strategies to advance health, happiness, mindfulness, and productivity in our buildings and communities.
Using Advanced Technology
Our passion for innovation and technology allows increased transparency, project collaboration and communication. We are mobile in the field, as well as use technology such as 3D Modelling and tools to help us understand an environment, adapt to change and above all, bring greater value to our projects.
BILT advocates the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM). This 3D Modelling approach gives us a better understanding of how building systems will interact with each other prior to installation, and supports the use of trade knowledge early in the design and engineering phases. This type of modeling helps the owner understand the long term quality of the end product, including not just construction costs but projected operating and maintenance expenses.
